在減肥過程中, 體重沒有大幅下降是否代表減肥失敗呢?
以減肥的目標而言,不少人都有一個錯覺,以為體重沒有大量下降就代表失敗。其實不然,大部分肥胖人士減重後都有逐漸增肥的跡象,故此,能保持體重而令它不再上升已是某個程度上的成功。
其次,不少人都以為減肥要達到理想體重才算成功,其實不然。在大部份的減肥研究中,體重平均只是減了百分之五至十,達到理想體重只屬少數人士,但他們一樣能從減肥的過程中得益。例如在美國的糖尿預防計劃(Diabetes Prevention Programme)中,接受生活方式改變的一組雖然平均只減了4公斤,但他們的糖尿病病發率卻能下降百分之六十之多。
